Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure and honor that we warmly invite you to the 4th International Congress of Hypertension in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults (ICHCA 2026), to be held in the historic city of Prague, Czech Republic, from 7–9 May 2026.

As we prepare for this congress in one of world´s most beautiful cultural centers belonging to the UNESCO world heritage cities, we find ourselves at a critical point in our field. The increasing prevalence of hypertension in children and cardiovascular disease calls for a deeper understanding of its origins and progression—beginning as early as childhood, and in some cases, even prenatally. Our collective efforts must focus on early identification and the development of strategies to prevent and mitigate long-term impact.

Arterial hypertension is the most significant potentially reversible risk factor for cardiovascular disease. With both primary and secondary forms often manifesting in young patients including children and adolescents, and involving a wide range of underlying causes, this condition crosses the boundaries of numerous medical specialties such as cardiology or nephrology. In recent decades, we have seen rapid advancements in both pharmacological and interventional treatments that have reshaped pediatric hypertension care.

Building on the success of previous three ICHCA meetings, the 4th ICHCA Congress will explore a broad range of topics—from prenatal programming, pathogenesis and clinical management to the latest therapeutic developments. The program will include:

• Case-based panel discussions and real-world clinical challenges
• Updates on novel pharmacological and invasive therapies
• Debates on diagnostic and classification standards
• Strategies for transitioning adolescents into adult hypertension care
  
  

This congress is designed for pediatricians, family physicians, pediatric cardiologists, pediatric nephrologists, and all professionals involved in managing hypertension and preventing cardiovascular disease in children, adolescents and young adults.

It will also provide the possibility to meet new friends and to interact with faculty, experts in the field of pediatric hypertension.
